Christine Haughney Dare-Bryan is an accomplished visionary, investigative journalist, editor, newsroom leader and media innovator with a proven track record of producing award-winning content across multiple platforms. She is creator of the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Rotten and a #1 Apple history podcast Computer Freaks. She has been recognized for combining deep investigative reporting with compelling storytelling that engages millions of viewers and listeners globally. The prestigious honors she has received include the James Beard Award, Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing, and SPJ’s Deadline Club Award for driving impactful investigations that shape national conversations on food production, business, and technology.
She also has extensive experience at leading news organizations such as The New York Times and NBC News with expertise in managing high-stakes projects, fostering cross-platform collaboration, and driving audience engagement. Her work has consistently garnered significant media attention, attracting interest from film and television producers, with stories featured on all major outlets including CNN, NBC, CBS and MSNBC. Her investigations in the real estate industry helped lead to the imprisonment of two real estate moguls.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a junior reporter in The Washington Post’s New York bureau and was the first reporter sent in to cover the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11th. Her reporting on air quality at Ground Zero launched a federal investigation.
She graduated from Wellesley College with a major in Political Science and minor in Economics. She also graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
She is also a respected leader and mentor, actively serving as a board member of the Anne O'Hare McCormick Scholarship Fund, a Xana Antunes Fellow, and a multi-year judge for the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing’s Best in Business Awards.

After hearing from many associates in the business world who sought Haughney Dare-Bryan's storytelling advice, she created Ebet Ventures, a media consultancy that helps entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies tell their stories. In a fragmented media world, Ebet Ventures helps clients craft their own narratives and tell their own stories through video series, podcasts, books or editorials. Haughney Dare-Bryan has helped entrepreneurs evaluate the pros and cons of book writing in the current market, create a docuseries to pitch to streamers and to host on their existing YouTube channels and evaluate the costs and benefits of launching podcasts. She has also helped business schools with their overall storytelling strategies.
